While I was completing my Diploma in Counselling and Communications I was placed at Khuluma Family Counselling for my Work Integrated Learning. My experience there allowed me to gain group facilitation skills as well as providing psychosocial support for the YOLO program. As I was completing my Bachelors of applied Social Science Degree I was placed at a secondary school where I managed to get more individual counselling sessions. At the school I work with both learners and teachers. I also conducted group sessions because some students were not comfortable coming in on their own. In that I learned that most students suffer from the same issue that was bullying.
