My experience in mental health spans across years in the field of education as well as human resources. This has lead to my combining experience and qualifications into my current role as counsellor, and mental health therapist as well as having a you tube channel that displays discussions on various relevant topics. I have a Bachelors with dual majors being Psychology and English, a post graduate honours degree in Counselling Psychology, a post graduate in teaching, a diploma in Human resource management and training, a TEFL that allowed me to understand second language speakers better, as well as being a Neuro Agility Practitioner and an Auricular Accupuncture Practitioner. I have presented webinars across the globe on mental health issues as well as the issues dealing with discrimination for a variety of reasons. My approach is a simple one where I aim to empower my clients, I walk the emotional journey with my clients and I do so with total respect and aim to be as non judgmental as possible. My client receives my full attention and I am known for my culture sensitive approach to my communication. It is my aim not to find solutions to problems but to provide my clients all the tools to work towards finding the most appropriate solution that suits them. For me, counselling is about growing my client’s mindset from one of hopelessness into one of empowerment.
