My name is Christelle Noutchie. I live in South Africa.
For the past 7 years, I have been working in a mental health institution, liaising with others institutions such as the clinic, mental health care centers and more to provide primary, secondary and tertiary mental health care to the community.
I have a Master of Science in mental health (Advanced Psychiatry).
I work with people of all ages and, assist them with clinical skills in the monitoring of care, treatment and rehabilitation of people in need.
I assess people in need by diagnosing and treating mental health disorders. Offer treatment according to each person’s needs. I facilitate sessions of therapy with individuals, groups or even families in need. Each individual or group of people is monitored for a certain period of time until satisfaction is reached. Thereafter, I can do a referral based on the outcome whether it is needed or not.
As a therapist, one of my goal is to assist people fight and prevent stigma related to mental illness and promote mental health. Therefore, an emphasis is made on educating the community about mental illness.
As I continue on this journey, I am really looking forward to assist even more people who are in need.
