I have studied in the Humanities with majors in Psychology and Sociology. I completed my Masters in Community based Counselling Psychology and have done an intership at the student counselling centre at the University of the Witwatersrand. I have worked as a special needs teacher and head of mentoring where I designed and held workshops
Individual Therapy
I have experience and training in providing individual therapy to clients in the following areas: Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment Issues, Family and Interpersonal issues, Personality Disorders, Grief and Loss, and Sexuality
I practice in culturally sensitive and integrative manner drawing predominantly from a psychodynamic modality as well as DBT, and Humanistic approaches
Group Interventions and Workshops
I have facilitated support groups in areas of Self-Esteem and Anxiety
I have held workshops for students, parents, and young adults to help facilitate a strengths based approach in areas of Maths Anxiety, Study Skills, and Exam Stress
