Bachelor of psychology (counselling for individuals, family and couples, trauma, stress and anxiety, grief to name a few) 3 years experience in private practice
My name is Nompumelelo Precious Matiso and I am a 27 years old Registered
Counsellor by profession. I graduated from the Pearson Institute of Higher Education (Bedfordview campus) where I pursued a Bachelors of Psychology and I currently work and operate my own private practice based in Tsakane and Johannesburg.
With my combined passion for people and development I decided to continue my
studies with the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) (Sandton
campus) studying Masters of Social Science in Community Mental Health Promotion.
My passion for development has seen my work on youth development and tertiary readiness in remote communities with the bursary that put me through school, JB Marks Education Trust Fund since the year 2014 where we have an arm called the JB Marks Alumni that is dedicated to empower young people to pursue their dreams with information to help them become accessible and achievable through hosting Career Days guided by graduates of the fund. Through commitment and dedication I currently hold the position of Community Outreach Pillar head for the JB Marks Alumni Executive team, where we commit ourselves to donating and raising funds to give back and create a feeling of belonging through Career exhibitions around South Africa and Mandela day initiatives to name a few.
My goal and inspiration is not only by helping people through therapy but continuously working with people in communities, helping develop interventions with them to empower themselves and the communities they are in.
