Oleka Nqwena (BA psychology and history)

My name is Oleka Nqwena 25 years of age. I have a BA degree in Psychology and History but I also did English, computer and Sociology as selective courses. I have worked roughly 5 years of working experience in different sectors. Before I joined the working community I had volunteered for an NPO who’s main goal was to fight gender based violence and I was inspired by what they stood for and sought to achieve that it motivated me to pursue Psychology so that I can also in my on way assist in the fight against gender based violence in women and children. After obtaining my degree I was employed by the NPO that i had volunteered for to work permanently for them as a consultant and give my expertise when it comes to counseling and conflict resolution. After leaving the organisation I was employed by the western Cape Department of Education as a substitute teacher for History and English. Currently I am employed as a Floor Assistant for Mkem Medicine City
