Online therapy in San Deigo

Online therapy in San Diego has many benefits when compared to traditional therapy. This is because online mental health services are often more focused on the patient’s well-being versus the therapist themselves. You may have noticed that you can quickly become uncomfortable in a face-to-face, San Diego counseling situation even if your therapist is perfectly qualified and otherwise has all of the tools necessary for helping you. This discomfort comes from the fact that you are not at ease in such a situation and this will, more than likely, cause your therapy to last much longer before you feel as though it is helping. Online counseling is usually not limited by these same sorts of interferences, which makes it far more likely that you will complete your course of therapy in half the time or less.

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.

Other studies have indicated that there has been a steady decrease in people with serious mental health problems using services over the past decade or so – from 40% in 2007 down to 32% in 2012 – representing a decline of 52%, a trend which, according to many experts, should be of serious concern for the mental health community.

The statistics are clear that the country is facing a mental health crisis – suicide rates are twice as high among males, while depression rates triple among females aged 18-64. The report includes a total of 447,326 people with mental health conditions in the county.
